Dull Life

How many ways can a person say "unfortunate?"

Here are a few of my favorites:
  • Calamitous
  • Cursed
  • Deplorable
  • Doomed
  • Ill-Starred
  • Ruined
  • Untoward
It's a good thing I don't gamble, because I would be sure to lose.

A long time ago I told my mother to paint the spare bedroom orange. Orange is my favorite color. But as my circumstance has changed, I find myself removed from my bedroom in my parents house and relocated to the orange spare room. I recognize now that asking my mother to paint the room orange was a bad idea.

Last night a friend and I played the "would you rather game." I chose being able to read minds over being able to see the future. I said, " I don't want to know the future."
I've already changed my mind. I don't want to know what people are thinking as much I want to know if the things I am spending my time on are a waste of time or if they're worthwhile.

Here are a few things I wish I could have known more about prior to wasting loads of time on them:
  • The aforementioned orange spare bedroom.
  • Moving home for the 4th time.
  • Learning to work in Borders Bookstore and then finding out that I'll be working in the life sucking and incredibly dull Kiosk by Hollister.
  • Countless romantic endeavors.
Here are a few things I'm sure to waste my time on because I have no idea what the outcome will be:
  • This whole moving to New York City thing I'm so into right now.
  • College.
  • Photographic equipment.
  • Countless romantic endeavors.
There are a lot of wretched outcomes to the things I attempt and I can't help but wonder, as many people do, when it's going to start moving the other direction.

Some antonyms of "unfortunate" are:
  • Happy
  • Lucky
  • Good
  • Timely
That's what I want. And I think being able to see the future might help me towards these things.

Oh to be lucky...

Moving to New York City is NEVER a waste of time.

moving to NYC might help with your whole photography career, I mean, seriously. Although moving itself sucks especially the 4th time.
Having a job is always better than not having one, when you need money. and the camera stuff? DON'T worry too much about it, you got me here to find solutions.
