I Love, You Laugh

When my brother proposed to his wife he got really nervous. He used cheesy lines and acted weird the whole night. But why? Is asking someone to marry you really that stressful? I guess I'll never know.
But I think it's sort of cute and humorous that people get so nervous when they propose or when they make romantic gestures.
I get nervous a lot. And I'm pretty sure it's because I'm worried about making a good impression or I'm scared I'll overwhelm the other person or a million other things. But isn't it funny how when it comes to expressing our feelings (be they good or bad) we get so nervous? Then when we finally do get those feelings out we're still alive.
I understand how important emotions are. They're the force behind everything we do, why we eat, or shower or get jobs or do drugs or anything else. So I guess it's ok to be protective of them...
But it's still funny that people get nervous about their proposals. I mean they love you right, you shouldn't propose unless you know they're gonna say yes. It's not like a first date when you have to take a chance.

Here's how I want to be proposed to:
It'd be cool if I was just like sitting on a train or something and my lova just kinda drops the ring in my lap like it aint no thing. That'd be cool. He wouldn't have to get nervous about whether or not I liked his proposal cause it wouldn't be a big deal.

Also, I saw that on an ebay commercial. Inspiring.
